Richard Nalder began his career in the industry in 2005 with a clear conviction: men deserved a grooming experience that respected their time, elevated their appearance, and made them feel at home. On December 5, 2016, he and Ashley opened Redlan's in Eagle, Idaho — and the Treasure Valley has never been the same.

Richard leads the shop with the same philosophy he brings to every client: precision, consistency, and care. His work behind the chair reflects 20 years of mastery — straight razor finishes, hot towel service, and the kind of attention to detail that turns a first-time guest into a client for life. Beyond the chair, Richard consults with salons and barbershops across the country, helping owners build the culture, systems, and leadership that make businesses last.

Ashley Nalder is the architect of the guest experience. Raised in Boise with an entrepreneurial upbringing, she brings warmth, operational excellence, and a standard of hospitality that sets Redlan's apart from every other shop in the Treasure Valley. From the moment a guest walks in to the moment they leave, Ashley ensures the experience matches the reputation.
